Boy, 16, stabbed at Swinton party
A SIXTEEN-YEAR-OLD boy was one of two stab victims when a party ended in violence in Swinton.
The teenager and a 20-year-old man were attacked at a flat party on Chorley Road, just after midnight, on Sunday (January 8).
Police were called to the flat above the Mobilezone shop following reports of a disturbance at the party.
The boy sustained wounds to his chest and cuts to his neck, back and chin. The man was treated in hospital for three stab wounds to his chest.
Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Det Con, Neil Higginson, of Salford CID said: "It is unclear exactly what happened but what we do know is that this party ended in violence and two people suffered stab wounds. Anytime a knife is used to attack someone it has the potential to seriously injure or even kill."
Police urge anyone who was a witness at the party, or anyone with any information to get in touch on: 0161 856 5351 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
