MANCHESTER City manager Manuel Pellegrini has confirmed that striker Sergio Aguero will be fit to face Arsenal on Monday night.
In his press conference earlier this afternoon, the Chilean revealed that the Argentinian striker had been training normally with the first team this week.
It is welcome news for City fans and Aguero’s teammates, as they prepare to face Arsenal on Monday night in a crucial Premier League clash at the top of the table.
The bad news, however, is that captain Vincent Kompany is still sidelined with a hamstring problem and may miss the festive fixtures next week.
The injury list also includes midfielder Fernando, fan favourite Pablo Zabaleta and Samir Nasri, who is set to be out until the final weeks of the season.
The Blues are currently 3rd in the Premier League table but will return to the summit with a win over Arsenal if Leicester lose away to Everton on Saturday.
