This Saturday Salford City host bottom of the league Altrincham, who travel to Moor Lane to fight for survival in the Vanarama National League North. (KO: 3pm)
Altrincham make the short way to Moor Lane after last week’s defeat to Bradford Park Avenue, where the Robins were reduced to 10 men.
The match at the Yorkshire club proved controversial, with a second half sending off of Altrincham’s goalscorer Elliot Newby, who will miss the game against the Ammies.
Fourth place Salford will be hoping for an easy three points to secure a play-off position, with last week’s defeat to Boston proving second place possibly beyond their reach.
Boston proved the mightier force last week, though Salford had a variety of chances early on and looked dangerous in front of goal.
Despite this, the Ammies brought a lacklustre defence with them, conceding twice to both youth-team-start up Harry Vince and defender Nat Brown.

With six games left of the season, both teams have only been victorious once in the last 5 matches, with Salford without a win at home for over a month. They will be looking to fix this at the weekend, especially with an eye on promotion to the National League in the coming months, in light of their new 5,000 capacity stadium currently, which is currently under construction.
Joint managers Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley have both recently been taken on by the club with a two year contract for the pair, and both will be aiming for promotion this season.
